The problem
Healthy eating shouldn't feel like a part-time job.
Most people managing blood sugar are stuck juggling spreadsheets, conflicting advice, and meals they don't enjoy. It's exhausting — and it rarely lasts.
Generic meal plans that ignore what you actually like
Glucose spikes from foods that seemed “healthy”
Endless label-reading and carb math
Diet culture that makes food feel like a punishment

Why we built it
I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 30 years ago. For most of that time, I didn't do much about it. I won't sugarcoat it — I was irresponsible with my health for a long time.
Three years ago I had a stroke. That changed everything.
I started doing everything I could to take better care of myself, and I kept coming back to food. I learned that I could make real, meaningful progress just by changing what I ate. But the process was exhausting — chasing recipes across five different sites, trying to figure out what was actually healthy, managing a grocery budget, and still wanting food that actually tasted good.
I didn't want another app that felt like homework. I wanted one place that helped me eat well, shop smart, and not dread the process. I had to come to that realization on my own — and I understand why you might be hesitant. It can feel like yet another thing on your list.
That's exactly why I built EatNeat the way I did. Not for people who have it all figured out. For people like me, who needed a place to start.

"I didn't want another app that felt like homework. I wanted one place that helped me eat well — and not dread the process."
